CERINTHE

CERINTHE

BORAGINACEAE

Honeywort is a genus of annuals, biennials and perennials, grown predominately for their long-lasting bracts, which are usually deep blue or purple. The small flowers within the bracts vary from white or yellow to dark blue, purple or red.

There are 10 species, most of which grow in dry meadows across the Mediterranean.

They grow best in full sun, with free-draining soil and most are drought-tolerant. All will seed freely.
