SIDALCEA

SIDALCEA

MALVACEAE

Prairie Mallow is a clump-forming plant that produces tall spikes of hollyhock-like flowers for a long period during midsummer.

There are just 20 annual or short-lived perennial species in the wild, native to western USA, although there are many modern hybrids available.

They grow well in full sun and require fertile, free-draining soil that does not get waterlogged in winter.
