ANEMONE

RANUNCULACEAE

Windflower is a hugely varied genus, with different species flowering throughout the year.

There are over 120 species, which originate from a wide range of habitats, predominately in the northern hemisphere. Most are hardy and easy to grow in cultivation.

There is a species suitable for virtually any condition, with the exception of waterlogged soil, but they can be slow to establish. Spring flowering forms are mainly for part shade and available in a range of colours, excluding orange. The autumn flowering varieties come in white or shades of pink.
