Pheasant’s Tail, formerly a Stipa, is an elegant grass from New Zealand.

There is only the one species, which is found from sea level to mountainous areas.

It will tolerate part shade or sun and requires good soil that does not get waterlogged. It is semi-evergreen. Any old leaves can be combed out in the spring.
