Cape Daisy is a genus of perennials and sub-shrubs, which produce large, showy daisy flowers in a wide range of colours throughout the summer. Flowers often have a contrasting colour on the underside of the petals. Some are upright and bushy, but many are prostrate or trailing.

There are 70 species, predominately from southern Africa, where they grow in grassland and open wooded areas.

They require full sun and well-drained soil. They are not always fully hardy in Britain and will not tolerate winter wet. In harsher climates they can be containerised and over-wintered under cover.
