Come along and visit the Nursery this weekend
Hardy's on the Road This weekend will see us at the National Gardening Show at Shepton Mallet, Bath & West Showground as well as Robert Hardy attending Wolverton Manor Plant Fair on the Isle of Wight
Hardy's Gardening Tip for the Week: Lots of your summer herbaceous perennials will be setting seeds so this will be the time to be collecting them whilst the weather is still good and the seed heads are dry. Make sure you collect seeds in paper bags and label clearly what you have collected Ensuring that you do not touch the seeds with your hands |
ALCHEMILLA
ALCHEMILLA
ROSACEAE
Lady’s Mantle is one of the most useful garden plants.
There are 300 species from Europe and Asia, which grow in upland meadows and at the edges of woodland. All have good foliage and a long flowering season, but only a few are used as garden plants.
They are easy to grow in sun or part shade and almost all soil conditions. Removing faded flowers and old leaves can induce good new growth and keep them tidy.
