Nursery Diary 27/08/10
Developments on the Nursery: This week we have been awaiting our new delivery of compost so we have them doing some general cleaning up jobs including the multi spans More Eco-Flo arrived ready for mail order packing General tidying up jobs around the Nursery as well checking up on plants ready for re-potting So come along and visit the Nursery this weekend
Hardy's on the Road This Bank Holiday Weekend will see us at the Hampshire Farmers Market with Winchester on Sunday 29th and Odiham on Monday 30th August Next week we will be attending the National Gardening Show at Shepton Mallet, Bath & West Showground as well as Robert Hardy attending Wolverton Manor Plant Fair on the Isle of Wight
Hardy's Gardening Tip for the Week: If you have Bearded Irises in your garden, now is the time to give them some attention. Make sure you cut the foliage back to a fan shape about 15cm (6") high, and if you want to divide clumps, now is the time to lift and split. But remember to leave the rhizomes right on the surface of the soil when you replant them, as they will only thrive when they are being baked in the sun. |
